Midnight Swim (Daryl Dixon X Reader)
Author's Note: This story takes place in season three or season four of the Walking Dead (I can't remember which, sorry! >.< ), so if you haven't seen it, it probably won't make too much sense. Just a warning.
You slipped under the cool water, leaving your damp clothes on the grass. You had left the prison so you could wash your clothes and bathe in peace. Well, that, and you hadn’t been swimming in ages, and damn it you wanted to go swimming! There were walkers out here of course, but being in the prison wasn’t so safe anymore. Not with people turning in to walkers because of that damn flu.
You sighed as you swam around, wetti
Sometimes you wondered if it was a good idea to join with this group of survivors. Some of the people had their moments of insanity that just made you wonder, was this normal moments of stress insanity or was this the signs of true insanity that hid behind normal faces. Shane Walsh and Andrea were two that gave you major pause; mainly it was Shane that gave you the willies out of the two. Andrea had lost her sister so it was understandable that she go a little crazy, you had been close to the same way when you lost your family as well. You didn’t judge her for that, but she was going to Shane for training. Sure he was one of the best sh

You were running. The zombie was right behind you with outstretched arms. You didn’t dare turn around to see how much of a lead you had. You cursed yourself over and over again for dropping your sheath of arrows. Without them, your bow was useless. Just a strip of wood that couldn’t even bash a head in.
You were so lost in thought that you didn’t notice the slight dip in the ground. Your foot caught in the hole, and you crashed to the ground.
You tried to stand up but before you could, the zombie was pushing you against the ground, snapping at your face. You struggled and kicked but you co
You were sitting on a log away from Hershel's house while you observed the other group members. Your group was searching for Sophia for days now and you weren't allowed to help them because “you were still too weak”. Daryl found you after you ran away from your camp which has been attacked by dozens of Walkers. You could barely get away unnoticed because they were busy eating your friends and family. You sighed. They gladly accepted you into their group and you wanted to thank them by helping.
It started to get dark and only Shane and Rick came back.
“Is Daryl still not back?” Rick asked the others after you gathered

You were crying, somewhere lost in the cold prision.
You called out his name loudly, pleading, "Daryl!"
You kept your back to the door, pushing all your weight on it, afraid of the shrieks and growls coming from the other side.
"Daryl!" You screamed with all your might.
The hot tears rolled down your face.
He had lost you. He had lost you. HE had lost YOU.
He ran quickly, slicing a zombie every now and then, "_________!"
He continued running, getting more violent.
He turned a sharp corner, hearing your voice faintly.
His face lit and ran faster to your voice, "i'm coming! hold on!"
He threw a knife skillfully at a zombie, then retri

Daryl Dixon X Reader - He Really Needs a Hug
You wore a simple black skirt that reached your ankles and a light blue blouse. It was certainly strange, different. You hadn't worn something so nice in... Probably two years. Has the apocalypse been there that long already? You were currently at a party in your temporary home, Alexandria. You say temporary because something this good can't last long.
The rest of your group seem to think the same.
It must've been a year and a half since you've found them, but this was all guessing. You've lost a lot of good people and you were still thanking God that you hadn't lost your best friend. He hadn't shown up to the party, not that you don't blam

As made extremely clear by experiences with the brothers - Reiji can be brutal when he's disobeyed -, you've made it into a fact that your feelings and thoughts don't matter to anyone in this house. Each snide remark, each daring attempt at a dominance display was met with either nearly getting ripped into bits or worse; the consideration of the possibilities still makes you shudder. Because of this, you now choose your words very carefully, speaking when you're spoken to and helping when it was wanted.
Needless to say that it's working pretty well for you - so long as you disregard Ayato.
On a whim, you'd been in the kitchen, kneading doug
